  1. Hey, a lightbulb just went on, I think. After years of struggling with the triad pairs, this particular lesson just made so much sense. I watch you play and I think, “oh my goodness, how is he doing that?“ But if you sit down and work it out, there are a limited number of inversions in any particular position and you have the luxury of passing tones to connect them so that signature notes fall on the right beat. I particularly loved the way you resolved to the chord tone by half step at the end.
